For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

and it suggested that the little girls who kept their BARBIE'S in the dress it came in, and never undid her hair or lose her shoes and jewelry would have body image problems. and those who cut her hair, lost her accessories and changed her into different clothes would have more self esteem than the average woman. WHAT DO YOU THINK? you think that's true for you??

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

I never kept my Barbies in their original state, yet I have some pretty deeply ingrained self-worth issues... so I think they need to re-do that study

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

really when was this study conducted

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

Not really because i cut my barbies hair and changed her but i still have low self esteem.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

I guess that is true for me because I totally desecrated my Barbie and Ken dolls and I turned out just fine.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

That could explain why I sleep naked. I always took their clothes off!

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

my barbies never had the same outfit on lol but it has nothing to do with my self esteem sometimes i have a high self esteem and sometimes its low so its not true for me :-)

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

well i was always stripping my barbie's my 7 year old daughter does it to !!!

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

dont know i was never and never will be a girly girl i hate barbies i am and always will be a tomboy!@27 years old

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

I don't think that is true because when i was little i changed Barbie's clothes, did her hair, and changed her accessories, but i have low self esteem. So no i dont think it is true.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

well the main reason kids get barbies is to dress her up and do her hair so I don't kno any kid that keeps the Barbie just as it came

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

I think that's bogus...I always changed my Barbies and did there hair and etc...however I have had major selfesteem problems that I am just now getting over....anyways God Bless!

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

Hmmmmm...My barbie was always naked in the back of a van with Ken. LOL

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

What study was that? How many people were polled? That is the most unscientific thing I ever read. In other words, it's BS.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

I just hope so

my two doters do that all the time and i keep yelling at them not to destroy them

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

according to my mom, when i was little, i used to rip my doll's heads off....but as far as ur question goes, i would like to think that there's a balance with me. currently i'm trying to lose (some) weight, but i dont want to be in the anorexia catagory.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

Well what if you kept yours in the original dress and didn't cut her hair but you cut off the hair of your sister's doll? LOL....I have low self esteem too.....

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

I played with hotwheels and chopped the head of my dolls off and burried them.

I was a model for many years and never had a image or self-esteem problem.

My sister does and she locked herself in her room all day and didn't play with anything except stuffed animals.

Survery says: that was a very poor study.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

what about little boys who's Ninja Turtles stole Barbie's Ferrari and scored with Skipper? What about the same scenario but with Doctor Grant From Jurassic Park?

And what about all those times Barbie rode the T-Rex into battle against Ken and his Army of Velociraptors?

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

no, it depends on how the little girl was brought up and you can't determine someone's future by a doll!

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

That just seems so weird to do a study on this plus the fact there would be so many variables to look for. I mean it has to do with how we percieve ouselves based on what society is telling us to do. I always changed my barbies clothes and stuff but I think we will all have body image problems. I mean society stresses to us to be thin and have this body type, fit into these jeans. I highly doubt barbie, who I understand is skinny and has big boobs, is the sole reason for girls having body image problems.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

I never played with Barbie dolls.

I actually LIVED life, I didn't play "house" or make-believe.

I was riding my bike off jumps, building forts, playing baseball, teaching my puppy new tricks and all the fun stuff a kid should do.

Glad I wasn't part of a 'Barbie-doll-esteem' study.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

I'm not sure, but it's an interesting concept. Only because me and my cousin played with our barbies and actually made dresses out of socks that we couldn't find the match to. I think we both have a great sense of style and are very confident. Now my sister never opened her dolls and ironically she does have self-esteem issues but I don't know if I would contribute it all to the fact that she didn't open her barbies. But again, very interesting.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

LOL! I have body image issues. I never really like what I see in the mirror. And I not only lost Barbie's shoes but most of them were naked or wearing tube sock dresses. I even popped the heads off a few of them (trying to make them turn their heads dramatically and glare at Ken). I really wish they would stop trying to attach girls' connection to Barbie with their own body image. I just don't see the connection. It's the broomsticks with hair on tv and magazine covers--Paris Hilton and Hilary Duff--that create those problems... IMHO.

For women only: did you know that a study was done...?

Well, I gave all of my Barbie's bangs. I changed there clothes all the time. I guess that its true. I am pretty comfortabIei with myself. I have a question for everyone..Who all made there Barbies have sex with the Kens?
