Women are so lucky?

They have so many ways to look beautiful. Men are suppose to be boring and simple. I hate it! We cant do our nails ...have long beautiful hair ....wear alot of accessories. Have a crap load of shoes....women are so stylish. and men are given a pair of shoes and a t shirt and jeans. its wrong on so many levels. Im jealous and NO i dont want to be a women ... i just have to try extra hard to dress up...find things that are made for a gay metro sexual man ..does anyone know of sites i can go to get types and maybe pictures of outfits for men? So i look absolutly fireice this fall and winter?

The following link is a photo of my wedding gown. I need a hairstyle for long hair that will match accordingly. I am not wearing a viel, but I want to put some form of sparkle in my hair. So you have monagrammed silver and crystal jewel accents on your acessories.. So bring that to the hair part. forget putting sparkles all over you as in a dust. that will be on your groom and everyone else all night..

You can put your hair up at the front with the length down long in the back and since your not having a train.. have the hair that will be hanging down where the people in the pews will be looking at your back add little rhinestones on white beads that look like pearls i have them myself. they come in packets of 6 you twist them into your hair. ( they have a metal twine behind the pearls and crystals. and so you twist them into your hair thats how they stay. you can put these all over your hair in different spots if you want like a crown look or a halo look or just put them down the back where your hair will be flowing down the back so your guest will see them .

or you could add the same idea but they come in pearls and glass cut gems you can do this on the front of your hair when you put it up. Instead of wearing a crown or a delicate jewel piece you can enhance it buy making a design there..

If you can afford a crown or like one of those hair bands made of metal find one of those but in rhinsstones and gems that will go with your dress they have them at claires.

Go to the salon that day and have her do your hair up softly not harsh looking yet romantic. if you see a pic. in a magazine you like how the hair is done bring that it will help the hairdresser better understand the look your going for and make sure you bring your crown or what ever else your doing to your hair.

well i bought my prom dress back in february and my prom is in june =] im not sure how i should do my hair though of what accessories i should wear.. also give me an opinion on the dress too please =] i have approx the same figure as the model wearing the dress and my hair is like 3 inches below my shoulders with side bangs. Oh and my shoes and handbag are beign dyed to match the center portion of the dress.. the lace part also has a gold glitter on it.. except it cant be seen in the picture

That's such a beautiful dress! For your hair, I'd wear it down. Maybe have some soft curls. I wouldn't wear too many accessories, maybe a pearl necklace. (real or fake, as long as it looks good)

go to one of your fav stores. get some jeans that fit you. then ask if they have any cute graphic t's. top it off with some samll dangly earings, and flip flops. leave your hair down and straight, and natural makeup. put in a solid color headband that matches your outfit!

ok. i'm like totally not good at all with fashion stuff or making myself look pretty or anything like that. so i have some questions about hair, make up, fashion, accessories, etc...it may look like a lot...but i need help so please answer at least SOME of them.

HAIR-my hair is currently medium brown with natural/barely noticable red lowlights. its fairly straight, but still a little wavy. just-below-the-shoulder length with side bangs on the left.

1. how can i get the red to stand out more without going in the sun?? its way too cold where i live to be outside!

2. how can i get it to be silky/shiny??

3. i'm tired of the same old hairstyle every single day. what are some cute hairstyles that i should try?? just something for school.

MAKE UP-i have medium blue eyes and medium-light skin.

1. how can i make my blue eyes stand out more??

2. how do i apply make up?? mascara, eye liner (the pencil kind), blush, etc.

I don't think you need new clothes, new hairstyle, new accessories yet. Work with what you've got and perfect making your natural assets really shine.

Try these things first:

-Learn which color looks best on you by trying on different shirts, compare to your face in the mirror

-Learn which colors -not- to wear

-Practice smiling, so it looks nice and not scary

-Tilt your head in the mirror and find out which angle looks best on you. Always photograph that way

-Practice styling your hair. Try something different each night before bed. If it's terrible, sleep will make it look less weird the next day.

-Pantene and Suave have some reasonably priced products that will add shine and help with frizz. Try a deep conditoner and then an after style shine product.

When you know what makes you look good and feel good about yourself, you'll glow. You'll look fantastic whether you're wearing Gucci or Target. Honestly, you have to know yourself best before you toss money after making yourself look good. It will just be a waste and bring you no closer.

btw- You should keep away from highlights, as what's natural usually looks best. And learn to blow out your hair straight. Dry the roots first then blow straight down from the crown. It works, I swear.

Hair-

1. can't help you there if you can't go outside try dying it.

2. use an enriching conditioner and before you get out of the shower rinse your hair in really cold water.

3. just try a simple ponytail, half up half down, in too braides, or even cornrows!

make up-

1. using the end of a thin paintbrush, gentaly loosen some blue powder eyeshaow. dip the paintbrush in water and then in the loosened powder. coat the top eyelid close to the lashes, like eyeliner, but choose a blue the same color or darker that your eyes. you can stop there or add a very tiny bit of eyeshadow to just tint the rest of your eyelid.

2. that i can't really type out. ask somebody who can show you, or check out a book from the library.

3. look though a drugstore, i don't really have any suggestions sorry!

Ok, you may need to make a trip to your drugstore, but I've got some tips. To keep your hair shiny and soft, you'll need to condition. I'm sure you probably use a conditioner already, but you may want to get a deep conditioner to use about once a week. Aussie makes a couple good ones, I like 3 minute miracle and hair insurance. Also, a leave-in conditioner is awesome for taming fuzzy flyaways and keeps your hair tangle free. I'm currently using Frizz-ease (John Frieda) leave-in conditioning spray before I put in mousse and brush my hair and let it air dry. It's my low-maintaince style I use most of the time, and my hair usually dries with nice natural waves. You might want to try doing it on the weekend sometime to see how it works for you, and experiment with blow drying and straightening or curling irons when you want to be a bit fancier.

For your skin... Make sure you're using good products. You need to be using a moisturizer with sunscreen EVERYDAY. It will keep your skin soft and protect you from sun damage that can really mess up your skin, not to mention the burns that happen on fair-skinned people. (Believe me, I've had my share.) When you buy face wash, go for the most gentle type that works for your skin. You didn't mention if you have acne, dryness, or any other specific problems, but check the labels carefully and try to find the best products to meet your needs. To make your skin glow, try exfoliating. You don't need expensive scrubs, just go in the kitchen, grab a bit of plain white sugar, dampen it just a bit till it's like a gritty paste, then use that to buff away the old skin. It's awesome for making your lips really smooth, too. To make your eyes stand out, use mascara. Start out with something basic, I still mostly just use Great Lash, and practice going all the way from root to tip. It's a little tricky at first, but you'll get the hang of it soon. With liner, you want to make sure to get it right up to your eyelashes, otherwise you get this weird little line of skin showing through. Again, it takes practice. A good blush can do wonders. Go for a nice rosy pink powder blush (mine's Maybelline, and I think it's called pinch o' pink) Get just a bit on the brush, tap off the excess so you don't end up with too much. Smile at yourself in the mirror, and brush some on the "apples" of your cheeks (the part that sticks out when you smile) and then brush slightly upward and outward toward your temple. Blush can do double duty as a natural looking eyeshadow too. You might want to grab a few different eyeshadows to try out too. I love lavender, I have fair skin and blue eyes too, and it looks great for daytime. But just find a couple shades that YOU like and try them out.

I'm guessing that you're probably still pretty young, since you mentioned going to school. Don't feel like you need to be one of those crazy girls that spends three hours getting ready every day. Just try out a few different things, see what makes you feel good, and go with it. It doesn't have to be a huge time commitment. I'm in my twenties, and when I get ready for work, I go from the shower (or my bed, some days) to out the door in under half an hour, hair, makeup, and all. Also, don't feel like you need to buy really expensive department store products, especially while you're just trying things out. Your local drugstore should have some affordable options, though I would stay away from the really low-end (like under a couple dollars) stuff, they don't always use the best ingredients and could irritate your skin. But definitely take good care of your skin. If you look great without makeup, using just a little bit (like blush, mascara, and lip gloss) will be a quick, easy way to feel awesome.

Sorry that was so long, but I hope it helps. I spent a while figuring those things out, I'm sure you'll want to experiment on your own too, but I hope I gave you a little direction. :)

Maid of honor HELP!!?? what do I need to pay for?? how much does it cost??

Ok so I have been asked to be the maid of honor in my fianc茅鈥檚 brother's wedding... What exactly are my costs?? the dress and accessories (shoes, purse, Hair and Makeup) and I plan and pay for shower and bachelorette party. PLUS GIFTS for both the shower and wedding. Am I forgetting anything else??.. (there aren't any other bridesmaids just me and her 9 year old daughter)approximately how much is this going to cost?? There is NO WAY you should pay for all that yourself. Your financial situation does not allow you to. You know that you can not afford to spend hundreds of dollars on all this. I suggest either getting your fiance to help pay for the wedding of HIS brother, or decline your role as maid of honor. Without other bridesmaids, you are going to end up with the bill.

You will have to pay for your dress and shoes, so hopefully the bride does not pick out some $200+ dress for you to wear. Get shoes from DSW, or check out the clearance rack at department stores. I have found $90 shoes their for under $20.

The bride should offer to pay for your hair and makeup. If she doesn't, do your own. If you are untalented at hair, pay to have your hair done and then do your makeup yourself.

She will not need a big bachelorette party since she really doesn't have any bridesmaids. Unless you are keeping it G-rated, the 9 year old should not attend. Why not take her and her daughter out for a nice dinner? If she has other guests she wants there, just plan a small party with appetizers and drinks. It doesn't sound like she is having a big wedding, so a big party is not needed.

The bridal shower should be nicer since her family will be there. Your fiance should ask his mom to chip in with the shower since all the other expenses are on you. Again, serve appetizers and punch or something to that effect. Games are cheap, so plan on having those.

Ask them if there is a way to give them a certain amount of money for the dress a month or if you can find one similar for cheaper. You can also do your own makeup and have a nice simple hairdo that will cost you nothing. For the shower, it can also be a bachelorette party. Ask people to bring snaks such as soda and such and that way, you aren't paying for everything.

Other items that you missed are that you will have to plan both the bridal shower and the hen party and there will likely be costs to incur from those events (food, games, decorations, etc). Also, often the bridal party buys a special gift for the bride and that can cost a bit of money. (Of course, this isn't required, but is considered "common place" where I live.) I also had to pay for alterations to the dress.

But, all MOH expenses end up different. I actually know someone who spent $400 on the MOH dress alone. Hopefully your bride is a bit more frugal than that!! ;o)

It can add up to be a lot if you make it a lot. The most expensive thing that you HAVE to pay for is the dress and accessories to go with it. While the bride does pick these out, being the maid of honor you get to help her. Tell her your financial situation and ask that she try to keep that in mind when you pick out dresses. Since it is only you and one other person, you could probably find really cute and affordable dresses somewhere at like JC Penny's for under $100. Same for the shoes, payless has a lot of cute designs. My cousin did that for her wedding and the dresses were beautiful. As for hair and makeup, for the bride, she can go to a fancy salon, but perhaps you could get yours done early that morning at a value salon (they still do a great job!).

As for the shower and party, keep it low key. If there is going to be food, ask the guests to bring a dish to pass. Visit a local party store or dollar store for decorations. Spend about 100-200 dollars. As for the bachalorette party, just head out for a night on the town. Go shopping, hit up the bars, but don't book a place (that's expensive), and then everyone can go in on buying drinks for the bride. Then you will only have to cover your drinks and some for the bride).

Other expenses:

For the wedding shower get something simple like a cookbook ($25).

For the bachelorette part get a cute gag gift for under $20-- ask other guests to chip in if you want to do more funny stuff

For the wedding gift, look at the registry and buy something under $30, or simply get her a gift with a gift certificate.

While it will definitly cost you a few hundred dollars, keep a budget in mind and don't go over that budget. Hopefully the bride will be understanding when it comes to the dresses.

Certainly $500.00 is not a lot to accomodate all the parties you need. I would suggest to cut down some of it such as not having the bachelorette party anymore. Stick only to the wedding shower party only. For conducting the bridal shower, I hope there are many craftstores in your area so you can put your creativity into use. You also might want to cut down on sending invitations instead use a phone to let people know that you are planning to throw a bridal shower for this.....and for favors, instead of buying expensive favors, you can buy those silhouette netted cloth and put some of her favorite candies. For decorations, go to dollar store they have lots of stuff in their. LAstly, I don't know if you are going to be in charge for the food too! but they will be expensive.

yes, dress, shoes hair, possibly nails, etc, you will have to pay for in all likeliness. I actually offered and did pay for my moh for all of that since I knew she was broke. But that is not the norm. She will have a shower, bach party, and a wedding gift you will have to come up with. Since you're a stay at home mom, maybe you're crafty. Handmade gifts are always great and cost little. check out craftster.org for some great ideas on handmade gifts! It's a great site and even if you aren't artistic, you could easily do something handmade and it would be cool.Let her know that you are honored to be selected as moh, but you're broke and offer to help in other ways such as stuffing invitations, or decorating the hall or church. I would talk to her, and I'm sure she would understand. Maybe she could help you out, if you offered to help with other things. I could have used the help instead of tupperware! If you are the only one standing up, maybe you have a nice dress already or can find one (or rent one, borrow one) and if she likes it can work it into her sceme and get her daughter a dress to match. (I only had my moh stand up and she picked whatever she wanted to wear and it was fine with me. )

Since it's only you and their daughter as attendants can you talk the bride in to letting you buy an off the rack dress, rather than a traditional 'bridesmaid' gown? That can help save a lot of bucks. Also, ask the bride if she's even expecting you to put on her shower - her Mom or family may be doing it and you can just help with some stuff. As for the bachelorette party, do something simple - how about an old fashioned slumber party? It's what I wanted to do for mine. Have everyone bring their favorite pig out food, make it BYOB, and the worse you have to worry about is the clean up before and after. Everyone checks their keys at the door and no one leaves (no DUI's!) until the next morning after breakfast (I'd supply breakfast for them - one of the cheapest meals! Eggs stretch far! Rent some movies, have a CD player nearby for singing along with, get some of the 'tabloid' magazines for fun. Tell your fiance that your son and he needs to find a place to stay that night!

So you're engaged to a guy who is basically treating you like an unpaid nanny (or worse) Hate it for you.

It's his brother...you're engaged...so if he's any sort of a gentleman at all, he should pony up a little $$ for the expenses.

At my daughter's upcoming wedding, we're buying the dresses and hired a beautician to come in and do the hair But that's us and not your situation. I just mentioned it because you're going "above and beyond" already.

If the bachelorette party is more of a girl's night out, I don't think it's out of line for everyone to pay their own way and divide equally the cost of the bride-to-be's dinner/drink.

Have the shower in a public place. Lots of restaurant chains have sections that can be "reserved" for free or little of nothing. Provide a cake and desserty type snacks and if people wish to order appetizers, they certainly can.

It shouldn't be about the money, but often it does come down to that.

You pay for all your garments and accessories (although the bride may give the bridal party their wedding jewelry as a gift). The women closest to her, not just you, should pay for the shower and bach. party. Also, female family members (mom, aunties, etc) usually chip in as well...or pay for all of it.

Your fiancee shouldn't be paying for his future sister-in-laws shower either. The money saving tip I have is that you let her friends and family know that they need to come up off some money!

My maid of honor has actually asked the other bridesmaids, and friends that arent in the wedding to help pay for the bridal shower and the bachelorette party. She just told them. At this time I cant afford all this, I am a single mom who goes to school. If you are really organized you can give all the other bridesmaids a duty, and ask them to please do that. Also talk to the brides mother, grandmother, aunts, and such, to see if their is something they can do to help.

Several thoughts

First of all, your fiancee' should help with expenses. That's not very nice for him to think only of himself.

I would talk to the bride's mother. she usually helps with the bridal shower. See if you can host it at the church (free) and then delegate the tasks to others. The grandmothers can bring some food, you will plan the games, the mother will handle invitations, that sort of thing. You shouldn't have to do all the work

makeup: again use different colors.

well buy some rainbow socks a rainbor belt and shoe laces that are the colors of the rainbow white sneakers light jean capris and buy a sold shirt like yellow since it is the brightest...also buy like buy purple and dark blue eyeshadow and a red eye pencil and glitter to put on your face and plain glitter lip gloss and wear big hoops earring that are like red or some other color and for your hair if you can buy the color hair spray and wear it in a high ponytail or but fake hair and stick it in and use glitter spray in your hair and paint your nails all the colors too ...well something like that i hope i was useful hope ur costume comes out good
