I am talking about the things like bobby pins that are open at the ends. What on earth do you use them for? I have tried to look them up online, but it gives me results for hair sticks and other random accessories.

The hair pins are used for up-dos. They hold a lot of hair in place without having to use a million bobby pins. Also, when bobby pins are used they do not hold a lot of hair, they tend to stretch out.

You have to sort of twist them as you put them in...they're no good for fine hair...best for very thick hair....and you need a lot of length.
