Accessories that go with a sweater dress?

i found this beautiful black sweaterdress that im in love with and am going to buy after work today. its a cowl neck knee length dress. since its cold out i was going to wear some texted dark tights and some black pumps with it but i feel like thats too much black. i dont want to look like im going to a funeral!! any suggestions on what to accessorize with? i have dark auburn hair, tan skin and green eyes so anything that plays up any of that would be greatly appreciated. thanks a bunch

p.s the outfit is for a date with my ex when i go to spend a week with him around xmass time and want to look amazing :)

if it's a black dress i would try it with colored textured tights (even off white) and black boots. i wouldn't do a necklace with the cowl neck line but maybe try some bold colored long wispy earrings. i would also try this with your hair down, i think up makes it look too formal.

Sheer black nylons would look great, I think. I know its alot of black but a pair of ankle boots with a three inch heel would rock!

and some jewlery like some color other than black or white pearls or gold earrings or other color earrings. add some jewelery to your outfit. =]
