I am obsessive/compulsively hoarding- Please help, I'm drowning in STUFF!?

I was searching net for ways to get organized. I learned that I am hoarding, %26amp; I absolutely-positively cannot get rid of/throw away/give away the things that I hoard. It's ruining my life! I don't want to have people over b/c they will see my mess, %26amp; I don't want to leave my apt b/c maybe someone may rob me while I'm gone. I can go to school and work, but socializing at night is hard b/c I'm more likely to get burgalarized. What do I hoard? Here it goes: large microwave box of old towels/shirts to use as rags. Office supplies- esp filing stuff. Cosmetics-some almost ten years old, lotions, shampoo/conditioner- even a shoebox full of sample sizes, styling products, hair accessories. 3ft stack of paper w/ print on 1 side (scrap paper). Arts/crafts. Clothes/shoes/etc. Cardboard boxes/storage bins/jars/etc (to store my stuff)-most of which remain empty, I keep buying more so I can organize all my stuff. There's more but no room to mention here. I can't let it go! I can't stop gettin more.

I am obsessive/compulsively hoarding- Please help, I'm drowning in STUFF!?

I say this with empathy. Get some counseling. I am a hoarder also. Try just going out front or back for a bit and lengthen it each week. You sound like you have agoraphobia also. I am doing the "Flylady" slow but sure. If at first we don't succeed we have to let it go. No guilt. Just keep trying.

Are you able to go out even for counseling? Are you open to meds for a trial? They may help to get us going.

I am obsessive/compulsively hoarding- Please help, I'm drowning in STUFF!?

write to Dr Phil, he's helped several people with this problem

I am obsessive/compulsively hoarding- Please help, I'm drowning in STUFF!?

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

for some reasons, i'm starting to like those jewelry and hair accessories again. i'm wondering what age should a girl stop going to claires. and what other stores are more "mature" for a girl in high school

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

I am 24 and get my best hair accessories at Claires. Some of their things are too cutsie for me now but if you like it, buy it. Your tastes changes when you mature not the other way around. LOL. Enjoy being able to wear cute stuff while you can, and dont let people tell you you're too old for that. You still have MANY life lessons to learn before you can honestly say you dont care about shopping there. Just the fact that you are asking the question says a lot.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

uhm... 7

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

i am 16 and i still get earrings there occasinaly..its fine..enjoy your youth while you have it.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

well you can go to Icing's.

Icing's like kind of the same store as Claire's but it has accessories for more mature people. (example: they have prom accessories and stuff)

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

I am 30 and I still go there all the time. You are only as old as you want to look, I guess. Don't label yourself already. If you like it, who cares?

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

I still go and im 21. So theres no age limit.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

It depends on what you buy from claires. You shouldn't boycott the entire store, just be more selective in your purchases. They have a lot of teeny bopper stuff but there are also a lot of cheap hidden gems to be found.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

icings is an older version of claires by the same company like limited 2 with justic abercrombie with hollister,

icings is like for teenages

claires is for the cute little girls

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

pleasseeee i go to claires (im 15)

so i mean i think about 16 or 17.

by that time u can get a job and get real jewerly instead of the plastic ones only the unemployed can afford lol. :) hope i helped.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

I think 7th or 8th grade would be some of the last times i would go to claires. Its kind of sad that its some of the only "fun" jewlry a girl could buy. (buy fun i mean like no dimonds and things like that) Claires has a older store called icing like claires but for the older girls (=

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

Haha same. i loved Claire's in elementary school, never wore stuff from there in middle school, now I do in high school. Other stores with cute accessories are Icing, Aldo Accessories or Forever 21.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

never...i'm not in highschool any more and i love claire's there are things there for girls of different ages.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

There is no age limit...You can shop their intill your 70 if you want too.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

I'm 44 and I still occasionally find things at Claire's. I consider myself to have very good fashion sense and I believe that things don't always have to be expensive to look great.

If you watch any of the fashion shows like "The Look For Less" or "Ambush Makeover" on the Style Network you will see that top personal stylists will shop at Claires from time to time to find just the right fun and funky piece to complete an outfit.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

Never. Not all of their accessories are only for little girls. Granted, some things aren't really appropriate for adults, but I'm 23 and just spent a few dollars there the other day. If you're looking for cheap jewelry that you don't expect to last a lifetime, you can shop there at any age.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

You should never let go of childhood just because you think it's too immature. Claire's has really cute things. So why buy your accessories at other "cool" stores when you can get what you need for great prices?

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

Honestly, I don't think there's an age that you have to stop going to Claires. I'm definitely not in high school anymore (just out of college) and love going to Claires. They've got tons of great jewelry for really cheap prices.

If you like to be in fashion I'm guessing you like all kinds trendy things. For instance if you like knowing the latest on fashion you should go to http://www.TxtVox.com or you could even check out my blog at http://www.txtvox.com/blog/.

Hope this helps!

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

when shud u stop? when ur 276 yrs old. lol. dont stop shopping there. its pretty cheap , cute %26amp; stylish for all ages. or icing has more mature ones

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

i don't think there is a limmit because if you need jewlery it's a good place

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

There's no age.. they have some cute things in there.

What age should a girl stop going to Claire's?

Never, I am 19 and I shop there a lot-on their 10/$5 deals I can pick up a ton of great pieces. Sometimes they'll have the prom-style jewels on sale, which are good for special occasions and you don't have to feel guilty about spending a ton of money for something that might only be worn once or twice. Also they have some good basics-my mom who is in her 50's shops there for the basic gold earrings.

Yes, some of the things are way too young for most people, but you can shop there no matter how old you are.

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

I have put them in plastic baggies by color, which works better than my original method of just throwing them in a drawer. :) I still think there's probably a better way. How do you have your children's hair accessories organized?

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

I actually went to the hardware department and bought one of those organizers that I guess guys use to keep screws and bolts and stuff like that in...They have little drawers or cubbies that are clear and are the perfect size for jewelry or hair ties..

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

take an empty egg carton and put a barette in each egg holder

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

in a bin

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

You can buy some plastic containers that have little drawers to put them there. Check at Target, Walmart, Michaels', Big Lots, Walgreens etc.

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

Get one of those plastic organizers that have little compartments for stuff. Like makeup holders with drawers and compartments

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

Definitely a drawer.

I have tried many different things, but I need to be able to put away/find fast, and a drawer has been my best bet. However, I have the barettes (clips, rubberbands, bobbypins, etc.) in a little basket in the bathroomm drawer, and keep the ribbons and bows in one of the girls' dresser drawers.

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

There are these amazing makeup organizers called Caboodles that you will find at any Walmart or Target store. They have different sizes and come with several different compartments to keep things organized. It also works great for traveling and can be stored away nicely.

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

I have them all in a basket

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

Well my mom got me some little originizer things like there little plasic boxes and they really work and they keep things orginized.

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

Attach them to shoe laces and hang them.

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

Clip them onto ribbons and organize them by style/color, etc. That's what my mom did when I was little. She'd either hang them up in the bathroom closet or put them in drawers.

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

Maybe "think outside the box" and try a parts organizer for hardware?

How do you keep little girls' bows and barrettes organized?

When I was little those little make up organizers were really popular and since I had really long hair, my mother organized the clips and barrettes on one level and hair ties on the other. You can still find them in the make up and hair care isles at places like Target and Walmart. My neighbor has a really unique way though. She bought one of those hand silhouettes that women put rings on, and each finger is a different color. For the barrettes she keeps in a converted parts organizer. Hope this helps!

What is this sudden fascination with skulls?

everywhere i go i see skulls whether its clothing, hair accessories to ipod cases, why the sudden fascination?

What is this sudden fascination with skulls?

Celebs like Paris Hilton %26amp; Nicole Richie started wearing them, and the loyal sheep just followed along. It's called a TREND, albeit a stupid one.

Come to think of it---nearly ALL trends are stupid!

What is this sudden fascination with skulls?

because the sort of "rocker" look is in, celebrities wear skull scarves and such, and everyone tries to mirror celebrity style...

What is this sudden fascination with skulls?

everybody seems to want to be 'emo' or 'goth' and also if it is jack skelington its because everyone is absesed with that movie all the sudden

What is this sudden fascination with skulls?

new things always come in style, skulls just happen to be that right know.some things that are in style right know are kind of emoish like that.

What is this sudden fascination with skulls?

its all about the mainstream. and what is "in" when someone popular decides to wear something, people will follow.

What is this sudden fascination with skulls?

Sudden?

You must be young!

Like all things, the skull fahion trend has come around again, but it never fully goes out of fashion. The only real change is your awareness of it.

Packing my hospital bag....?

can anyone think of anything they forgot to take when having there baby?

Iv packed: (for me) tooth brush, tooth paste, hair accessories, shampoo, slippers, pj's, dressing gown, maternity pads, under wear, breast pads, deodrant, body wash and bed socks. I need to pack my clothes!

but for my baby, i packed: baby wipes, nappies, body wash, baby shampoo, suda cream, 2 sleepsuits, 2 vests, 1 hat, socks, mittens, 2 outfits, baby towel, baby oil, talc and teddy bear.

do i need to pack things such as baby milk athough i will be breast feeding incase im not around ect, and cotton wool balls?

god im panicing.....have i missed anything???

Packing my hospital bag....?

You're probably not going to need that much for the baby.

Clothes. My wife forgot to pack socks.

I, on the other hand, didn't pack a bag at all in advance, and my wife gave me no end of grief about this (and still is as I write this, four and a half years later).

Packing my hospital bag....?

when you pack your clothes pack maternity clothes. I packed some clothes that weren't and trust me you won't fit into them right away. plus i had to have a c-section so even my maternity pants hurt. As far as everything else i think you have totally over packed.

Packing my hospital bag....?

Chapstick! and quarters for vending machine, and cash for cafeteria.

Packing my hospital bag....?

you dont need to take anything for the baby besides colthes and blankets for the trip home. because they supply diapers and they dont want you to but lotton or give them baths in the hospital because they dont want to be responsable for alleges. And if you cant breastfeed for some reason the supply you with formula. They even give you theromators and nose sucky thing achol wipes for cord. they also dont want you to dress them in normal clothes because they have shirts to were so they cant get stollen

Packing my hospital bag....?

The one thing you might be missing (if you choose to use one) is a nursing wrap. I know I had a lot of visitors in the hospital and at the time I was breastfeeding and I would have to kick everyone out when the baby needed to be fed or feed in front of people and I wasn't comfortable with that yet. Bring a few different night gown (none with pants tho) and extra maternity pads. You will also want to bring some stuff to read for you and your partner, I know it sounds odd because you think you'll be super busy but the baby will probably sleep a lot more than you and hospital TV is not great =) Good luck. You are all prepared, in fact you could prolly do without the baby body wash and shampoo, talc, oil and towel. Oh DON'T FORGET A CAMERA! And maybe a disposible one if you run yours out of battery!

Packing my hospital bag....?

dont pack so much for your baby...2 outfits should be enough. the hospital supplies you with the baby wipes, and they give your baby a bath after he/she is born. so unless you plan on staying days..you wont need all the washing stuff. so save the room.

**also! heres a great thing to do...my hubbies uncle is a doctor at another kaiser hospital, and he told us to empty the drawers of the little roll-ey thing the babys in (they stuff it with diapers and stuff, for when you have the baby with you) so when they take him/her to do test and stuff, they see that its empty and refill it...then you take it out again. so by the time you get home, you've got a weeks worth of diapers. the nurse also gave us a pack of diapers, and 6 bottles of liquid formula for before my milk supply came in. and we ended up with 5 recieving blankets too. and 3 shirts, and a diaper bag.

good luck! i packed my bags almost a month before i went in. i was sooo anxious!

Packing my hospital bag....?

I would bring sweats/jogging pants. I brought jeans and they weren't comfortable at all!

Packing my hospital bag....?

Camera

Baby Book

Snacks/ Reading Material / Music

Phone Numbers for everyone you'll want to call

Snow Suit for Baby (if it's cold where you live)

Car Seat

----------

Congrats on your little one!!

Packing my hospital bag....?

You're just missing cell phone to call family and extra pair of slippers for your husband. He'd really appreciate it.

For the baby you don't need anything but an outfit with legs for him to wear for the trip home, blanket to cover the car seat from the elements, and the baby car seat. The hospital supplies the diapers and wipes. They'll also wrap your baby up like a tamale so he/she will not need the socks or mittens. They will also give your baby her/his first bath so you won't need to do it again until you get home. And usually the hospital provides a hat so you won't need it unless you have a much cuter one or they don't give you one. Instead of talc you may want to consider using Aquaphor or other butt creams. Doctors recommend not using talc as babies can breathe it into their lungs and it's bad for them.

Packing my hospital bag....?

i took my baby book with me so at the hospital they could put the babies footprints right in the book..and don't worry if there is something you might have forgotten i'm sure someone will be able to get it for you...just try and relax ...because once you see your babies face .nothing else really seems important..best of luck

Packing my hospital bag....?

I THINK YOU HAVE OVER PACKED LOL BUT DON'T WORRY I DID THE SAME THING WHEN I WAS EXPECTING (ALMOST 2 MONTHS AGO) THEY PRETTY MUCH PROVIDE YOU WITH EVERYTHING FOR YOUR BABY DIAPERS, WIPES, RECEIVING BLANKETS, MILK JUST TAKE THEM AN OUTFIT TO COME OUT IN AND DON'T FORGET TO TAKE MATERNITY CLOTHES OR SOMEHTING LOSE FOR YOU CUZ YOU WONT LOSE ALL YOUR WEIGHT RIGHT AWAY

Packing my hospital bag....?

Don't forget a baby blanket and take the baby book with, then you can have the foot prints in them right a way. Take thank-you cards with (you can write them out as the gifts come in). Take a robe with, you may want to walk around if you're feeling good enough too. Take your address book with everyone's phone number in, you may want to make a few phone calls and cell phone or calling card. As a mother of 3, I didn't remember everything until I had my last one. They will have the baby shampoo, powder etc. there for the baby, so you don't need to take so much for the baby. Just the outfit and blanket you want to take the baby home in is all you need. If you do forget something, then someone can always go get it for you. Best of luck with your new baby!
